What is Torque?
Torque is Force acting at a radial Distance and tending to cause rotation.
How does it work?
In most situations a controlled torque is applied to a fastener to create a clamp between two adjacent objects. The most common method is with a threaded bolt and nut.
Where are torque control tools needed?
Torque tools are necessary anywhere the integrity of a fixture is critical. The applied torque must create a clamping force which prevents the elements from moving apart during use of an assembled product.
Industries where Torque control are essential include Automotive, Aerospace, Computer Assembly, Defence, Energy production, Electronics, Telecoms.
